Upmarket of the Amn knife series. Especially designed for underwater cutting of difficult polymers for very high flow rates per hour (suitable to Amn “R2D2” concept)
Inventor of the BMS in 1993, AMN developed these new high performance knife profiles in 1999. Since 2005 , they are designed with a new blade to control their self sharpening and their grinding on line especially with the latest generation of pelletizers.
STRUCTURE : bi-metal type, the assembly body / blade results from the brazing technical nature. It offers a high resistance to breakage without being detrimental to flexibility.
ALLOY : Knife body is made of a special type of stainless steel, the blade is in titanium carbide available in 2 qualities adapted to the coating type of the cutting face : Nikro 128 for tungstene carbide coating and Nikro 143 for titanium carbide coating.
PROFILE : Due to its curved shape, it :
ECONOMY : An average of 10 % energy savings on the pelletizer within the same production conditions with your present profile.
QUALITY : In collaboration with our steel manufacturers, a precise specification sheet has been established. A better quality control and a consistent caliber of alloy will ensure the same performance of these knives over an entire year.
Throughout manufacturing, each knife is individually checked to demonstrate a high geometrical precision.
SERVICES : All knives are available for stock in AMN’s factory. AMN can study the adaptability of a “non standard” knife without any fee within a maximum period of 48 hours.

PROFILE : Due to its curved shape, it :
- Allows for a sequential cut of the pellets, regardless of the product hole positioning on the die plate,
- Encourages the ejection of the pellets and reduces the adhesion of the cutting angle,
- Reduces the possibility for agglomerates formation,
- Makes start up easier,
- Allows a presence of water on the entire area of the knife edge,
- Eliminates the depression zone at the heel of the knives,
- Creates a better cooling of the knife edge.
