The die-holder
The cone shape of the die-holder totally eliminates the Vortex phenomenon and considerably reduces the polymer pressures as well as pollution hazard. The heating circuit of the die-holder concentrates the calories nearby the cone’s surface and within all the reinforcements. This ensures a homogeneous polymer temperature until its entry in the die-plate. Equipped with a complex mechanical structure, this die-holder has been subject to thermo-mechanical calculations, and is able to provide a flatness level of less than 0.05mm under charges of 200 bars polymer pressure at a 250° C, for dimensions above 1 meter diameter. -
